1) Gather all necessary materials. Make sure you have a copy of your transcript and classes taken, info about your parents or guardians, any academic honors or achievements, etc..

COLLEGE APPLICATION WEEK
College application week is a week devoted to helping students apply for colleges! Due to COVID-19, this year might look a little different. However, mark your calendars for the start date of Monday, October 19!
HBCU Virtual College Exploration
On Thursday, October 8th at 7pm, College Board is launching an event called "Real Talk: HBCU Edition." This is a virtual college exploration designed to connect Black students with admissions representatives from colleges and universities across the country. Register at the link below:

The requirements for an admission application fee waiver are:
If you would like more info or would like to receive a request for admission application fee waiver, please contact your school counselor.
- There must be an economic need, such as:
- student has received or is eligible to receive an ACE or SAT testing fee waiver.
- student is enrolled in or eligible to participate in the Federal Free or Reduced Price Lunch program (FRPL).
- student's annual family income falls within the income Eligibility Guidelines set by the USDA Food and Nutrition Services.
- student is enrolled in a federal, state, or local program that aids in students from low income families.
- student's family receives public assistance.
- student lives in federally subsidized public housing, a foster home, or is homeless.
- student is a ward of the state or an orphan.
- other request from high school principal, high school counselor, or community leader.
